Another Lehmann Christmas

Happy Holidaze to everyone. It hardly feels like Christmas in a place that doesn't get snow, but we tried hard to get the spirit going.

We (Jenn) bought a coffee table and constructed a train depot and town to its top. The boys love things that go and trains are in right now, though Superman is making a serious pitch for Jackson's attentions. I guess if he keeps coming back to it, that makes it a good gift.

Enter the Bennett.

I apologize if I don't have any shots of a specific present being opened. We only post the most photogenic shots. And that's why I'm in none of them.

Pretty passionate about that Iron Man doll.

And in case you forgot, he's still Superman.

So strong.

We hope everybody had a good holiday season! Things are looking good for us making it to the east coast next year, so hopefully you won't be relying on my limited skills the next time they open their Christmas presents!

Happy Co-Dependent Day!

It's been kinda (106 degrees) hot in Houston and Texas in general. We've spent a lot of time outside playing in our little pool and sprinkler lately. This isn't anything new. I have a hard time remembering in the last few months when we didn't go outside and play. Today was a little different. For one thing, we had baby fireworks. For another, I actually brought my camera out with me. Let me take you through our day.

First we traded off between running through the sprinkler and jumping in the trampoline house.
                                                      Ugh....moving on.....

                                                              Next we lit smoke bombs.

Afterwards, we conducted our semi-annual foot inspection.

Then Jackson challenged me to a mean-mug contest.

He won.

Not long after that Bennett tried to eat a yogurt popsicle. Cuteness ensued.

When he finished he decided to judge Jackson's one-man dive tournament.

                                                        Bennett is not impressed.

                                                   Jackson makes his second approach.

                                                                 YES! HE DID IT!

Judge Bennett Lehmann awards a perfect 10 POINTS!

Next we played "Guess how this will end."

If you guessed that the bucket Jackson was patiently and thoughtfully filling would be dumped over his own head then you must be a parent. You win the opportunity to babysit my adorable children for one night of your choosing when we come home to visit.

Then it was spontaneous nap time.

After a nap that was entirely too short, Jackson was hungry, so he made himself a cake.

In a rare act of kindness, Jackson offered to share his cake with his brother.

Then it was time to run off all that sugar, so he went running out on one of the scenic trails near our house and we ran after him. He was fast despite having his sandals on the wrong feet.

It was starting to get dark when we were confronted by a weird lady who offered to entertain us with the traditional flame dance of her people. It was free and she was cute so we were down.

Afterwards, all little boys went to bed without fussing and stayed there until a reasonable hour the next morning. THE END!
